सह नौ भुनक्तु ।
सह वीर्यं करवावहै ।
तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥

Tejasvi Naav[au]-Adhiitam-Astu Maa Vidvissaavahai |

Meaning:

1: Om, May God Protect us Both (the Teacher and the Student) (during the journey of awakening our Knowledge),
2: May God Nourish us Both (with that spring of Knowledge which nourishes life when awakened),
3: May we Work Together with Energy and Vigour (cleansing ourselves with that flow of energy for the Knowledge to manifest),
4: May our Study be Enlightening (taking us towards the true Essence underlying everything), and not giving rise to Hostility (by constricting the understanding of the Essence in a particular manifestation only),
5: Om, Peace, Peace, Peace (be there in the three levels - Adhidaivika, Adhibhautika and Adhyatmika).


ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः (Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah)

ॐ सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः
सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः ।
सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु
मा कश्चिद्दुःखभाग्भवेत् ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥


Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah
Sarve Santu Nir-Aamayaah |
Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu
Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet |
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||


Meaning:

1: Om, May All become Happy,
2: May All be Free from Illness.
3: May All See what is Auspicious,
4: May no one Suffer.
5: Om Peace, Peace, Peace.


ॐ संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं (Om Saṃgacchadhvaṃ saṃvadadhvaṃ)

ॐ संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं
सं वो मनांसि जानताम्
देवा भागं यथा पूर्वे सञ्जानाना उपासते ॥


Om Saṃgacchadhvaṃ saṃvadadhvaṃ
saṃ vo manāṃsi jānatām
devā bhāgaṃ yathā pūrve sañjānānā upāsate ||


Meaning:

1: May you move in harmony; may you speak in unison;
2: Let our mind be equanimous like in the beginning;
3: Let the divinity manifest in your sacred endeavours.


लये सम्बोधये चित्तं (Laye Sambodhaye Chittam)

लये सम्बोधये चित्तं विक्षिप्तं शमयेत्पुनः
सकषायं विजानीयात् समप्राप्तम् न चालयेत् ॥


Laye Sambodhaye Chittam Vikshiptam shamayetpunaha
Sakashayam vijaneeyat Sampraptam na chalyet ||


Meaning:

1: The mind that is in deep sleep should be awakened and the mind that is distracted should be brought back to tranquillity again.
2: One should know the mind as passion-tinged, and should not disturb it when it has attained the state of equillibrium.


ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय (Om Asato Ma Sadgamaya)

ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ।
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥


Om Asato Maa Sad-Gamaya |
Tamaso Maa Jyotir-Gamaya |
Mrtyor-Maa Amrtam Gamaya |
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||


Meaning:

1: Om, (O Lord) Keep me not in the Unreality (of the bondage of the Phenomenal World), but lead me towards the Reality (of the Eternal Self),
2: (O Lord) Keep me not in the Darkness (of Ignorance), but lead me towards the Light (of Spiritual Knowledge),
3: (O Lord) Keep me not in the (Fear of) Death (due to the bondage of the Mortal World), but lead me towards the Immortality (gained by the Knowledge of the Immortal Self beyond Death),
4: Om, (May there be) Peace, Peace, Peace (at the the three levels - Adidaivika, Adibhautika and Adhyatmika).
